About us

Brilliant interactive experiences

Specialmoves is an interactive studio. We create incredible experiences on mobile, web and in the real world.

We believe cool interactive things can make a positive impact on peoples’ lives. It can make them happier and more productive. And we love making them.

We're one of London’s longest standing independent studios and we're experts in creating masterful interactivity.

Three things that make us special...

We invest in R&D:

We put back 15% of our profits every year into R&D to ensure we continue to collaborate, experiment and innovate.

We solve problems others can’t:

‘Allow us to publish anything’. ‘Create a new way to share music’. ‘Can you build a 3D shopping experience where people can select from 3,000+ items?’  We've said yes to these challenges when others have said ‘impossible’.

We over-deliver:

In our eleven year history we’ve never had to ask a client for more money to complete a scope of work mid-way through. We’re always professional, reliable and willing to go the extra mile.

We’re not strategists, planners or message writers. We’re also not the best 5-a-side football team.  But if you need complex interactivity on any platform, brilliantly created and delivered, we’re the best.

There are web developers capable of creating fantastic front ends, engineers who build rock solid server side tech and mobile specialists focused on handsets. Very few understand and are any good at creating and developing for all three. We are, and we’ll be crystal clear with you about how we do it, every step of the way.

Increasingly, as people expect cohesive multi-platform experiences we’re perfectly placed to be developing the next level of creative ideas. For our partners that means more profitable, longer lasting relationships that will drive that all important bottom line.

Quotes that inspire us:

‘…those businesses that relegate themselves to the diminishing world of goods and services will be rendered irrelevant. To avoid this fate, you must learn to stage a rich, compelling experience’
Pine and Hilmore’s The Experience Economy (1999).

‘Tell me & I’ll forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will remember.’
(Chinese Proverb)

“Make everything as simple as possible but not simpler”
Albert Einstein

“Get rid of the crappy stuff and focus on the good stuff”
Steve Jobs
